Every team member in University Services has an impact on our organizational culture and is responsible for diversity and inclusion. While this is true, having a dedicated team, to focus on diversity and inclusion efforts, helps to concentrate energy and resources appropriately in order to successfully create and actualize goals. The diversity and inclusion work in University Services is directed primarily by two teams: the Office of Talent and Organizational Development and the Diversity and Inclusion Steering Committee.
Office of Talent and Organizational Development

Diversity and Inclusion Steering Committee (DISC)
The mission of the Diversity and Inclusion Steering Committee (DISC) is to create, implement, revise, and sustain a formal plan to foster a more inclusive, diverse and equitable working environment for all University Services staff. The committee ensures the three University Services’ principles (Service Excellence, Efficiency and Effectiveness, and Team and People) are maintained and incorporated into the plan. The plan’s goals cover multiple areas for all levels of staff including recruitment and retention, staff development, work environment, management, leadership, and engagement.
